As part of the OFD's commitment to progress Chief Garrison has promoted three new chiefs. Captains Mike Margot,
(pictured below) Mike Mathai, and Darryl Hebert (both pictured left) were all promoted to Battalion Chief, and then
appointed to Division Chief.

On May 1st, 2007, 27 firefighters and local citizens were honored in the 3rd Annual OFD Awards Ceremony held in the
Oceanside city council chambers.

Oceanside Fire Department.

In an effort to further preserve that tradition the Oceanside Firefighters Association has recently re-acquired a significant symbol
